Well, the day continued on...not according to my plan but has a nice ending.
(except for the ROCKS I found in my dryer!) Yes, came out of the coat pocket of the unmentioned child.
I got to pamper and primp myself for a little while. My toesies were dreadfully neglected.
Took the kids out to our downtown for an advertised Christmas Fun; santa, treats, sleigh rides, reindeer, roasted chestnuts, etc. 12-5pm. We show up at 3pm and are like, umm, where is all this stuff? yea, totally lame. turns out most of the stuff ended at 3pm and all of it was "around downtown". The concept was to hop from place to place. umm. NO THANKS. total bummer.
The doggie really did need some help staying warm, especially after her too-short haircut last week. Her wrap is called the doggie "Smoochie" Cute, right?
But,the trip to the pet store lead to unending conversations about the oldest really wanting a pet snake and the girlie really wanting a "cute, little white" MOUSE.
And, the kiddos did have a really great time playing in the snow; all the neighbor kids were out and they got to go sledding down the little hill on the empty house lot.
And, the most important... Husband's travels today brought him back home safe and sound. Thank You Lord Jesus. Our ways are not His ways, but we trust Him and follow Him. Casting ALL our fears and anxieties unto Him.

Now it's letting me leave a comment. The doggie sweater is cute-she needs it. Funny you got all that snow and we didn't. Do you think rocks in the washer are better than crayons in the dryer?
I will be taking a trip to Petco before Christmas. Grammy usually gets the children what they want :) ha ha
