Maybe Today

Is my first thought now every morning. Maybe today my sweet Jesus will come back for me and His Church. It is the perfect reminder for me to be motivated throughout the day to let my actions and words be pleasing to the Lord. To be ready, to have order. I have to choose this everyday, it does not come naturally because I am a sinner, I have to completely surrender and put my trust to Jesus to accomplish this.
This summer I have heard a few teachings on the End Times and the Prophecies. I even read an excellent book by Dr. Gary Frazier. Last night I found out that Pastor James is coming back from sabbatical on the 22nd and will be teaching through the book of Revelation! So excited! There hasn't been enough teaching in the churches about this because of fear of controversy in philosophies. Either way, not very many believers live their lives thinking of their future in Eternity because they arent reminded of it regularly through teachings. That is where Satan is winning at keeping God's People from growing in their sanctification.
Bottom line: Jesus is returning and giving out rewards for how we lived our life here-we are living in the last days so it very well could be TODAY. Are you coming with me? Are you getting rewards or will you be ashamed?

boyz camp 09

We are back again this year at UPBC for boys camp! Ryan is finally old enough to be a camper! We brought his cousin Connor with us and they are in the same cabin as a camp friend's oldest son from OH! From what I can tell they are all having a great time and adapting well! Cavan is having fun with hanging out with dad, out of Ryan's shadow. Meggie and Sophie (my cousin's daughter)are getting along better than last year. Seen some familiar faces from years ago- good to see folks returning with their kids and continuing the camp tradition!

The weather is typical U.P weather: warm and sunny during the day and cool at night. Hasn't reached 80 and probably won't.
More and more people are moving up here permantely or expressing interest in a future move. The desire to help spread the gospel to those unreached. And they do exist, which is hard to picture in the united states but its true. Every week here at camp continues to be full with waiting lists.
I am currently canker free! Have been for a little over two weeks! Still doing what I am doing including taking 1 Benadryl each night. Blood test for food allergies is in, and will get those at next week's appt.
Organizing the homeschool area when we get home and will start a morning routine with bible, writing and math to start slow for me to figure things out!
Take-a-break time is ending and so I'm off to Xtreme Arts and Crafts!!

Exhausted and it's only Tuesday!

Just a quick update on High5! I am completely exhausted after only 2 days! last night my legs hurt like shin splints and tonight my lower back hurts! Thankfully I'm still young enough that I always feel better in the morning! It reminds me of the first 2 days of BOYZ Camp... all that walking... convicts me that I am REALLY out of shape and need to be better about staying mobile!
THe boys are loving their Military Jungle Strategies elective... they are not in the same group though and i think that is good for them. Cavan is not getting very dirty but Ryan has been very dirty and wet both days. Hmmm... wonder what they are doing differently. Wonder if Cavan is "opting out" on some things. ;)
Megan and I are really enjoying learning about different countries and cultures. Yesterday was Mexico and today was India. Tomorrow is China. Last night I cooked up 6 tripled batches of Coconut Rice Pudding and it went over very well! I even got the mass quantities correct-just a little bit leftover!
Each day I have 6 "waves" of groups coming to my Concession Stand for their snack. there are about 28 kids in each "wave". Six times I plate the food, speak a little diddy on the country and clean up all in about 20 minutes! I have 2 terrific gals helping me so it's not bad... once we figured out a system that works for us!
Ryan is also doing a Dissection class and worked on an Owl Pellet yesterday! Sweet that I do not have to do that at home this year! I am a bit curious about it though. Ryan is in all his glory in this class!
Cavan and I are working on LEGOS in the afternoon and we are setting a world record with building Noah's Ark and Rainbow! Pics to follow after Friday!
Meggers is also doing "Dance for Him" of course, in the afternoon and loving that too! I am so thankful that there is a class so perfect and tailored to each of my kids interests!!

Today was a high of 93 I believe and I am reminded to be thankful for AIr-conditioning, unlimited clean, ice- cold water, and clean swimming pools. ALso, the ability to take a shower every night before bed. I am thinking about these poor people in these other countries that do not have these luxuaries.
We are getting to bed early and going to the pool on the way home tomorrow.

Good nite!!

FINALLY!!!

Whew! We are finally back online! that was a bit rough, only b/c I had word docs to email out! Can't do that from my little blackberry... but boy am I thankful for the timing of getting that_ what a great little piece!

After we came back from MI, (drove 4 hours in the pouring rain) we started into what became a very busy and a bit stressful weekend. We had the daddy camp-out on friday. spent the morning getting it all packed up and they left at noon. beautiful day for them and then... poured down rain all nite long.. kids slept great, daddy did not.at.all. They were home saturday morning by 8am and scared me abit! I got frustrated while planting my new perennials. But it looks great now! Frustrated about the cable being out for the wings game. watched it at the in-laws. they lost.

saturday... everyone very tired from the campout and me getting starttled awake... poured down rain all day. Huge picnic planned for the intro to the new homeschool co-op. had to cancel and hope to snag some tables on sunday.

Sunday... beautiful day! a perfect 10+ :) trying to do too much before and after picnic so a little bit stressful. this whole weekend we are trying to get the cable guy out to reconnect us. a bit stressful.
Guest speaking pastor Chip Ingram gave a convicting and heart-adjusting sermon on Anger. What is making you so angry right now he asks. Comcast is what I thought. Rain was the second thought. The Lord's perfect timing. again. Thank You Lord!!

Monday... another beautiful 10+ day! Golf practice for the ry-guy at a bright 9am. scramble out the door with meggers in her nitegown, a bag of cereal and her "Compri-sun" so thankful for those handy drinks!
2 of cav's buddies are in the golf practice... now he wants to do it too...more $$ b/c he picked basketball.

2pm- get to cav's bball practice and realize it started at 1pm. Sigh. breathe in, breathe out. Get home and made some decisions about more landscaping. then kids whined to go swimming. One hour left til the pool closes... so i take them. Comcast shows up FINALLY at 6pm... almost missed them again...I sure hope the rest of the week goes better. :)
now i realize that it's going to be non-stop for a while... so I am gearing up and praying about it all. I didnt mean for this to happen... to be so busy.

To the Lake this weekend and then rise and shine for High5 Monday morning. Our version of VBS but it's way awesome and ALL DAY LONG!I think the weekend after that I will stay in my jammies and veg out!

so glad to be back online!

Have I found my cure?

Today I went to get my blood test for food sensitivity; only I did not get it. After talking with the Dr. she told me that she used to have similar problems. She told me that my tongue is screaming at me ,"Hey, warning! warning! something is not right!" This is totally a digestive issue and i need 2 weeks to heal-up my intestines before a blood test because right now everything would come back as sensitive. I am instructed to avoid acidic foods and will be taking two supplements: Manna Cleanse and Vital-Plex.

Here's the description for Manna Cleanse:

"Manna CLEANSE is a proprietary blend of fibers, botanicals, enzymes, prebiotics, probiotics, and sources of fatty acids designed to promote proper colon ecology and function and support intestinal health. In addition, it supports the body's ability to break down food particles and expel unused or unneeded material."

Vital-plex is 10+ billion CFU's multi-species probiotic supplement. It is a powder formula, it is living organisms and must be refrigerated.

Monday, June 1st

I have been working on this blog entry for 4 days! I have been super duper busy!! I had an end-of-the-year party for Megan's class on Friday 'cuz I was the Room Mommy. It was SPECTACULAR if I do say so myself. Then, 5 hours later I had a Birthday party at our house for Ryan... he turns 9 tomorrow! I had 4 boys and they slept over and I was exhausted the rest of the weekend! That party was AWESOME too! Every other year for parties is my rule.

School gets out on Friday at 11am and then Saturday we are off to IN for a graduation party and then a drive up to Detroit for 5 days! I can't wait to see that chunky Monkey of a nephew of mine! That's the latest and we'll see ya in a few more days!
