is now a 65 lbs. 8-year-old boy! happy 8th Birthday, Ryan! Wow, unbelieveable! I'm having a harder time with this one, don't know why. At eight years old, Ryan is a content young boy. Started 2nd grade with a bang, started to test authority in the winter, back on track! :D
Ryan went on his first airplane this year, first trip to FL, first look at the ocean. He lost both front top teeth. He has mastered several things such as Legos Starwars PS2, and writing an entire paragraph. He learned how to write in cursive, and it is much neater than his printing! :D
Ryan started Tae kwon Do in January and loves it. He went back to AWANA and completed 2 books! He is gaining some independence... showering from start to finish all by himself, climbing trees way too high, and playing his new found love game of Air-soft. (air-compressed guns that shoot out little tiny beads) Ryan did infact ask for a gun for his birthday, but WE decided to wait until next year.(maybe)
This year's presents are: a new bike seat for his new(used) bike, Legos Indiana Jones PS2 game, a trip to play Laser tag with Bryce, Cav, Connor and Earl, 8 new custom-made golf clubs and bag, and a pocketknife, just like Papa Don has. :D
This is our last summer with him before he becomes an offical Boys camper at UPBC. this year our goal is to make him completely independent as far as taking care of himself! That's right, picking out his clothes each day, to making sure he changes his boxers everyday, to brushing his teeth 2xa day, to showering on a regular schedule!! Should he start to clip his own fingernails and toenails, too? ;D
